The Era's Lucknow Medical College Hospital is a premier Medical Educational Institute in Uttar Pradesh .It is affiliated to Dr. R.M.L. Awadh University, Faizabad. Era's Lucknow Medical College covers all the 21 branches of medicine with separate departments for each of the subjects. which includes various clinical departments and their respective wards along with the Para-clinical departments. It has approximately ------ students.

The Problem :

The institute was facing an acute problem of absenteeism of the students, Attendance was being marked by proxy and a lot of manipulation of attendance data was also taking place .The conventional system of attendance management (The lecturer taking a Roll call et. al.) was proving to be a failure .The guardians/parents were also quite concerned as the were not really updated about there children they came to know of the absenteeism problem only when some untoward incident happened or the college informed them ,in most of the cases the information reached them quite late.

The College and the Parents needed a system where:
• Minimum Human interference thereby chance of manipulation of data may not be possible.
• Information to the Administration and the parents should be Immediate.

	STUDENT BEFORE ENTERING CLASSROOM MARKS HIS / HER ATTENDANCE IN THE BIO-METRIC DEVICE.

	THE DATA IS TRANSFERRED TO A DESIGNATED COMPUTER AFTER A FIXED TIME AFTER THE LECTURE STARTS.

	THE COMPUTER USING *OUR SOFTWARE* CHECKS THE ATTENDANCE OF THE CLASS AND PREPARES A LIST OF STUDENTS WHO ARE ABSENT.

	A COPY OF THE LIST CAN BE VIEWED BY THE PRINCIPAL / ADMINISTRATOR

	THE PARENTS / GUARDIANS OF THE STUDENT ARE SENT A SMS INFORMING THEM THAT THERE WARD HAS MISSED THE PARTICULAR CLASS

Result

The implementation of this system has improved the attendance to an unbelievable 100% ,The Medical College and the guardians are highly pleased with the performance of the software.
